Rest Day 12/20:
Get Loose!
Enjoy 15 minutes of Hamstring and Hip Mobility.
Over the past week we’ve hit it pretty hard with heavy lifting, a 2k, and some solid 500m pieces. Our ability to sit up and maintain a solid core through the stroke has a lot to do with our hamstring flexibility and the work we do on off days to promote recovery and rebuilding of the muscle fibers we tear. Use today as an opportunity to stretch out and rebuild those hamstrings, increase your flexibility, and eat some good quality food.
Share where you’re feeling it and how you mobilized!

How do I mobilize, I row baby!!! Rowed a 5k, 20:49. Didn’t go all out, just a nice steady pace. Came up with a goal of under 21 minutes, then focused on getting my split down to 2:05.0. Nice long strokes, pushing all the way through the heels, not pulling too early. Just a nice, smooth rhythm. Listened to some Jonathan Butler to keep that calm demeanor!!! Oh yeah baby. Then I did some banded work for my hip flexors and stretched out the old hamstrings.
Nice recovery row Larry. Those always go a long way. Good stuff getting on the band stretches. It can be annoying to fit in, but so worth it!
