The Renegade Rowing League (RRL) is a set of 2k Rowing Competitions held every winter to give athletes a chance to experience indoor racing on the Concept2 Ergometer and prepare themselves for CRASH-B’s and The World Indoor Rowing Championships.
The Renegade Rowing League is held in Boston and virtually online from December – March. The RRL is setup to track everyone’s improvement and give athletes a chance to obtain a personal record as they prepare for the CRASH-B’s, which take place at the end of February. There is a $15 Entry Fee for each race and competitors must register online prior to each competition.
The best part about the Renegade Rowing League is that it gives athletes a chance to compete head to head over 2,000m on the ergs as if they were on the water. We’ll have 10 ergs hooked up to one another and digital boats projected on the gym wall so that athletes can see how fast they’re going in relation to their competition. There will be different age and weight categories along with prizes for winners of each category.
Once again there will be a Renegade Rowing Cup up for grabs. The athlete who makes the most improvement from December to February will have their name placed on one of the ergs on the cup.
